Seeing as Chamonix is in France, we could put pretty much every eatery in this category, but really it's for restaurants offering a good range of French food, be it modern or traditional.

Chamonix is the Haute Savoie and that means lots of cheese and cooked meats. Many of these restaurants offer the classics such as fondue, raclette and tartiflette, but most also have a full range of classic French dishes from a good steak tartare to a pot au feu stew. Keep an eye out for the 'menu du jour', which offers excellent value for money.
