Restaurant A de l'hotel Aiglons
The A restaurant is in the three star Aiglons Resort & Spa hotel which is located at the entrance to Chamonix, just off the Grepon roundabout.
Under the watchful eye of the Aiguille du Midi, David Cochereau and his team have created a rather special restaurant with A. The food is simple, yet innovative and there is more than nod to local flavours and ingredients too.
The A La Carte menu includes such delights at Carpaccio of Tuna as an entree, Sea Scallops or Beef fillet with Foie Gras as mains to name but two.
Each day there is a 'Menu du Jour' which offers great value with an entree, main and dessert offered.
What we like most about the A restaurant is that you can combine food with a visit to their luxury spa - ideal for those who are not staying at the hotel.
The Lunch and Spa formula is 22€ and offers a two course lunch (Entree and main. or main and dessert) plus entrance to the spa area including the sauna and hammam.
There is also an Apres-Ski formula at 19€ that offers platters of local cheeses, meats and specialities as well as entrance to the spa area, that hammam and sauna.
The A restaurant also offers special menus for those special occasions, such as Christmas, New Year, Mother's Day and St Valentine's Day.
