La Bergerie de PlanPraz is one of many restaurants run by SERAC, the company that controls the vast majority of mountain restaurants in Chamonix.
La Bergerie is easy to find - it's right in front of you as you exit the main Brevent bubble lift, at nearly 2000m altitude.
La Bergerie is by far the smartest and most authentic of their mountain restaurants, with a warm chalet-style feel, the building is quite new and offers stunning views across to the Aiguille du Midi, Mont Blanc and the Mer de Glace.
Upstairs is the main restaurant with table service and downstairs is the rather more dour snack bar and takeaway serving drinks, sandwiches, chips and the like.
The snack bar seats 60 inside and 112 on the terrace, whilst the restaurant boasts 104 seats inside and 146 outside.
Open both winter and summer seasons, La Bergerie PlanPraz remains a popular restaurant for anyone skiing, sightseeing or walking in the Brevent area.
Reservations are advised on +33 (4) 50 53 05 42 and in winter there are two sittings at the restaurant 11:45-13:30 and then 13:45 onwards.
