Description
We begin our tasting at an artisan boulangerie away from the tourist crowds in the very elegant Saint-Germain. Here, you’ll taste your first macarons and learn how to evaluate them like a professional: Texture? Sweetness? Flavor?
Next stop: Ladurée!!!!! Together, we ask the question: is the world’s most famous macaron really the best?
From there, we continue to Pierre Hermé, where macarons are treated like a fashion collection. You’ll explore creations such as the iconic Ispahan (rose–lychee–raspberry) and other unexpected combinations like olive oil and vanilla. Step by step, you’ll learn how to describe complex flavors with confidence.
We continue to a master chocolatier to challenge Ladurée even further. Then we explore French pastry craftsmanship influenced by Japan, with flavors such as genmaicha, hojicha, or black sesame, expanding your idea of what a macaron can be.
The final stops remain a secret. Our journey ends in the charming Luxembourg Gardens. Here, with the 'secret' final selections in hand, you’ll perform your final tasting recap. You’ll leave not just with a full stomach, but with the vocabulary of a Parisian pâtissier.
