Description

Meet at the designated point in Santiago de Compostela to begin the journey to Costa da Morte, a region steeped in maritime history and pilgrimage traditions.

The first stop is the Finisterre Lighthouse, built in the mid-19th century. Known historically as the 'End of the World,' this site features the Camino de Santiago’s Kilometer 0 marker, where many pilgrims conclude their journey. Here, you can take photos and enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean and cliffs during approximately one hour of exploration.

Next, travel by coach to the village of Finisterre, where you will have 1 hour and 15 minutes of free time to walk around, visit the harbor, see the 12th-century Church of Our Lady of the Sands, or admire the Castle of San Carlos. This time can also be used to have lunch at local restaurants.

The tour continues to Muxía, visiting the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Barca with your guide. This temple is linked to the Way of St. James and local Galician legends, including the story of Our Lady arriving by stone boat to inspire St. James. Nearby are large rocks with historical spiritual significance and folklore. Your guide will explain these stories and their importance for pilgrims.

After the visit, the tour returns to Santiago de Compostela, concluding after approximately 6.5 hours.
