The Marmottons Bar and Restaurant is at the bottom of the Grands Montets cable car in Argentiere. It's open from early in the morning to apres-ski, so you can pop in for a morning coffee, treat yourself to lunch or a nice beer for apres-ski.
Inside the restaurant is fairly small, so you need to be quick to grab a table at lunchtime - especially as it seems to the local hangout for the ESF ski instructors! There is a conservatory that is large and heated with a woodburner in winter so you can look out onto the bottom of the slope and stay warm.
When the sun is shining there are deckchairs facing Mont Blanc and a large terrace so you can have a long, lazy lunch.
As for the menu, there's your usual mountain fayre including omelettes, chips, burgers, croutes and gratins. It's more like a bustling canteen than an intimate restaurant, but it does the job!
