Best Sellers - Things To Do in Chamonix

These are the best selling things to do in Chamonix, ranked honestly by actual booking numbers. The list is not about what’s most hyped online but what travellers really sign up for again and again. Classic rides on the Aiguille du Midi cable car top the list, especially in winter and spring when the views over Mont Blanc are crystal clear.

You’ll also see the Mer de Glace train tours featuring heavily, it’s an easy way to get close to the glacier without needing any hiking skills, popular all year but particularly busy in summer. Paragliding experiences over the Chamonix valley attract plenty of bookings too, especially from those staying in downtown Chamonix or Les Praz. Keep in mind that these rankings shift slightly depending on the season. In winter, ski lessons and guided glacier walks spike, while summer favours hiking and mountain biking tours.

If you’re booking last minute, try to avoid weekends in July and August. Booking your activities for midweek often gives you more flexibility and can save you from the busiest times on the key cable cars or tours.
