Le Hors Pistes
Chamonix
Le Hors Pistes restaurant in Les Houches is open winter and summer, boasting a large, sunny terrace facing Mont Blanc.
If you ski in Les Houches, you'll find the area has a completely unique panoramic view of the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc that really has to be seen to be believed and the terrace of the Hors Pistes is ideal for soaking up the views and the sun.
There is even an orientation table made from granite and hand painted, which will show you the names of all the peaks you can see from the terrace of the restaurant. A nice touch that sets Le Hors Pistes apart.
If it's not a sunny day on the slopes, there are plenty of tables inside. The restaurant has a modern Savoyard feel, with lots of wood and stone. Nice and warm on cold winter days, you can warm up after skiing Les Houches with a snack or a full meal.
The a la carte menu offers a full range of goodies to tempt you, including Savoyard specialities such as fondue and 'farcement' as well as fresh pasta dishes, soups and salads.
The Hors Pistes opens early in the morning so you can stop by for a coffee and a read of the papers before you hit the slopes. It stays open in the afternoon for drinks and snacks too.
Reservations for lunch time are advised, with sittings at 12:00 and 13:30. You can reserve via their website up to 10am for the same day or by telephone.
