Le Delice

Le Delice is a funky little bar and restaurant right in the centre of Les Houches. Four years ago two young English people decided to chase their dream and open a friendly, welcoming place that serves great, affordable food. The small menu, which is updated regularly) caters for every taste. Meat lovers, vegetarians and kids; everyone will find something they love. The chefs really know how to transform traditional dishes into something special, and the portions are substantial.

The bar/restaurant is open every day from 11am to 2pm, which makes Le Delice a great place for lunch, with a daytime menu that boasts soups, sandwiches, as well as hot dishes like burgers, pastas etc. They also offer an all day breakfast fry up.

The new evening menu, which is available from 6pm to 10pm, and includes starters like twice baked goats cheese soufflé and the mouth watering Szechuan chicken and Asian salad. There are not that many main dishes to choose from, but the diversity is great: Cajun spiced wild boar, char grilled steak with roasted confit shallots, peppercorn encrusted filet of lamb and oven baked cod wrapped in Parma ham. Vegetarians will love the pumpkin risotto with roasted tomatoes stuffed with ricotta and spinach. For desert, there is only one choice: the amazing rhubarb cheesecake with white chocolate and vanilla! We find it one of the best deserts in town!

The service at le Delice is great. The staff enjoys a good chat with their clients and knows how to make you feel welcome. Therefore it’s not only popular with locals, but tourists seem to come back time after time. The restaurant is suited for families as well, with high chairs, toys and special kids menus. Between 6pm and 7pm, Le Delice offers a free kids meal for free for every main course ordered.
