Grands Montets
The Grands Montets lifts are all closed in Autumn. As soon as snow conditions allow, the Lognan cable car and Les Marmottons lifts will open for skiing. Les Grands Montets is generally the first ski area in the Chamonix resorts to open. The are is expected to open no later than the 17th December 2011, depending on snow. 

The Chamonix to Planpraz bubble lift and the Planpraz to Brevent cable car opens in the Autumn between the 22 October and 2nd November 2011 inclusive. The area then shuts until the start of the winter ski season, usually the 17th December 2011 subject to snow conditions.

Flegere is closed in the Autumn. The area opens again for skiing in the winter. The date for the winter 2011/2012 is yet to be announced, but it is hoped that it will be 23rd or 24th December at the latest.

Le Tour (Balme)
Le Tour (Balme) lifts are all shut in the Autumn. The lifts will open next for the winter 2011/2012 season. As yet the opening dates are to be confirmed, but it is hoped to be no later than the 23rd/24th December 2011.

The gondola lift in Vallorine is shut for the Autumn. It will re-open again when conditions allow for the winter 2011/2012 ski season. Dates as yet to be confirmed, but hoped to be no later than the 23rd/24th December 2011.

Aiguille du Midi

The Aiguille du Midi cable-car site is open all year round except  the pre-winter closure from the 2nd November to 16 December inclusive.
The Mont-Blanc Panoramic lift, between the top of Aiguille du Midi and Helbronner is open from 21st May to 18 September 2011 inclusive.

Montenvers Mer de Glace train

The Montenvers train is open all year round, except for the annual closure from the 9th October to the 22 October 2011 inclusive. There are usually trains every hour and more during peak times.
The ice cave and gondola will be closed from the 9th October to 16 December 2011 inclusive.

Tramway du Mont-Blanc
The Tramway Mont Blanc is closed until the 17th December 2011, where it will run un til the 9 April 2012 inclusive.

Les Houches
Bellevue and Prarion lifts will open for the winter ski season as soon as conditions allow, latest 23rd or 24th December 2011. Please note extra affluence expected during the World Cup skiing event in the resort around the 4th and 5th February 2012.
