Description
Treat yourself to a getaway along the Dordogne with this canoe or kayak rental on a 15 km route (about 2.5 hours). Starting from Vitrac or Beynac, you'll paddle independently in the heart of the Périgord Noir, among green landscapes, dense forests, and impressive cliffs.
Throughout the descent, the treasures of the valley are revealed to the rhythm of the river. You'll pass the picturesque village of La Roque-Gageac, admire the Pendoilles cliffs, and then sail along several iconic sites: the castles of La Malartrie, Castelnaud, and Fayrac. At each bend, the medieval towers and silhouettes rise above the water, providing an exceptional backdrop for your photos.
As the Dordogne is generally a peaceful river on this stretch, it is also a great opportunity to observe the local wildlife, especially the ducks on the banks, and to enjoy a moment in nature. This 'half-day' package fits easily into a weekend or vacation, while giving you the freedom to complete the day with other visits in the region.
On site, you are provided with the necessary equipment (life jacket, paddle), and a bus transfer is included to facilitate logistics. All you have to do is paddle and enjoy.
