Description
Discover canyoning in the Gorges de Chailles, an adventure canyon located in the heart of the Chartreuse massif, on the border between Isère and Savoy. This wild and steep course offers a sporty and immersive canyoning experience, ideal in summer, from mid-June to August, when the temperatures allow you to fully enjoy the water.
This canyon is for sporty folks who are comfortable in the water and in good physical shape. It's essential to know how to swim and enjoy long aquatic sections, because the progression is mostly in the water, with sometimes sustained swimming phases.
On the agenda: lots of jumps, abseiling, technical water crossings, water games, and a short via ferrata section to round off the adventure. The atmosphere is very deep and wild, offering a spectacular setting and total immersion in the canyon.
The descent unfolds in three main parts: a first section that's super fun and dynamic, a second calmer one where you let yourself be carried by the current, then a long final corridor of about 300 meters to swim, a real highlight of the course. After exiting the canyon, a 30 to 45-minute ascent will bring you to the final point.
Supervised by a certified canyoning guide, this outing is ideal for water, thrill, and adventure enthusiasts looking for a challenging and memorable canyoning experience in Chartreuse.
