Your adventure begins with a full safety briefing and gear fitting at base camp before an expert guide leads you into Behana Gorge, located within Wooroonooran National Park just 30 minutes from Cairns CBD.
Explore cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear pools, and technical challenges at your own pace. Every jump, slide, and abseil is optional and adapted to the group’s ability and confidence. Group sizes are limited to 10 guests per guide to ensure personalised attention and safety.
Routes are selected daily based on water conditions to offer the safest and most enjoyable sections of the gorge. The protected rainforest environment is not accessible on foot, making this guided experience exclusive.
Return shuttle from Cairns CBD is included. Bring swimwear, closed-toe shoes with socks, and a change of dry clothes. Best to book in advance and arrive 15 minutes before departure.

- What to wear: closed-toe shoes (runners) with socks, swimwear, and a change of dry clothes
- All activities are optional; the guide sets the group’s pace
- Routes are selected daily for safety based on water levels
- Maximum 10 guests per guide; groups of 11-20 use two guides
- Minimum age 8 years; children must be accompanied by an adult
- Not recommended for travellers with back problems, pregnancy, or serious heart conditions
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Contact lenses recommended instead of prescription glasses
