Description
The tour begins with a country drive to Mapleton Falls for a complimentary tea or coffee and scenic views. A ridgeline drive along the Blackall Range leads to Montville Artisan Village, where you’ll enjoy artisan Belgian chocolates and over an hour to explore local shops and galleries.
Lunch is served at a charming hinterland cottage cafe with an included drink. After lunch, a panoramic lookout offers views of the Sunshine Coast coastline, from Noosa to Caloundra and Moreton Island on clear days.
Next, visit the Maleny region for a guided nature walk through a remnant old-growth rainforest featuring giant native trees, birds, and pademelons. The walk is mostly flat and 1.2 km long. Those preferring not to walk can relax at the entrance’s discovery centre and cafe overlooking the Glass House Mountains.
Following the walk, enjoy a second lookout with wide views of the Glass House Mountains. The tour continues through Maleny village along the ridgeline to a winery for a mountain top wine tasting with ocean views.
The return journey is comfortable, with drop-off at your accommodation by approximately 5:30 pm, in time for sunset and dinner.
