Description
The tour begins with a city visit of Reims, home to Veuve Clicquot, Möet, and Taittinger Champagne houses. You will visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Reims, where many French kings were crowned.
Next, explore the Pommery Champagne cellars, located in 2,000-year-old Roman mines featuring historical and contemporary art, followed by a tasting of one glass of Champagne.
Continue to the Marne River Valley vineyards for scenic views and a second Champagne tasting. Visit the church and tomb of Dom Pérignon in Hautvillers.
Lunch is scheduled in Épernay with restaurant suggestions, where you can stroll along Avenue de Champagne.
The tour concludes with a visit and tasting of three glasses of Champagne at a boutique producer, including insights into the winemaking process.
