Description
Your journey starts at 9:30 AM from Santiago de Compostela, heading to the historic town of Padrón, linked to the Camino de Santiago and the Apostle James's arrival in Galicia. Explore the peaceful old town, visit the Church of Santiago with the famous “Pedrón” stone, and enjoy free time for coffee in Alameda gardens.
Next, visit Combarro, a picturesque fishing village with narrow granite streets, traditional hórreos (granaries), and stone crosses by the sea, reflecting Galician coastal culture.
An optional boat trip from Combarro offers a scenic cruise past mussel farms with local wine and mussel tasting, providing sea views of Combarro, Marín, and Tambo Island.
Proceed to Isla da Toxa, an early European spa destination known for thermal waters, traditional soaps, the historic Gran Hotel La Toja, the old soap factory, and the unique Chapel of the Shells adorned in scallop shells.
The tour continues to Cambados, the capital of Albariño wine, featuring Fefiñáns Square, a notable manor house, and the Church of San Benito. This stop is ideal for tasting acclaimed Albariño wines.
The final stop is Isla de Arousa, accessible via one of Europe’s longest sea bridges. The island offers clear waters, unspoiled beaches, and natural park walks. You can relax by the sea or swim at its beaches.
The tour returns to Santiago de Compostela around 7:30 PM.
