Departing from Sanary-sur-Mer harbor, the cruise travels along one of France’s most impressive coastlines, including the Calanques of Cassis and the Marseille massif. The route offers a detailed view of these dramatic landscapes, with live commentary provided by the captain in French.
The word 'calanques' comes from the Provençal 'calenco,' describing sheltered coves and bays with turquoise waters and steep cliffs. For non-French speakers, an informative booklet is available.
The cruise follows the entire Bay of Sanary coastline to the Calanque de Sormiou, passing notable points including:
