Description
The Louvre holds 35,000 works, and trying to find the highlights on your own can leave you wandering for hours. This semi-private guided tour cuts through the maze with timed-entry access, an expert English-speaking guide, and a small group capped at six. You'll see the Louvre's most famous works in just 2.5 focused hours.
Your tour begins just outside the Louvre, where you'll meet your guide before heading inside (tickets valued at €28 per person). After clearing security, you'll step into the Greek and Roman antiquity galleries to come face to face with the Winged Victory of Samothrace and the Venus de Milo, carved roughly 2,100 years ago.
From there, you'll walk through the Renaissance rooms, pausing at works by Raphael and Botticelli and the wall-sized Wedding at Cana by Veronese. Then you'll stand before the Mona Lisa and see if you can decipher the secrets behind that famous expression.
Next, you'll continue into the French masterpieces rooms to see Jacques-Louis David's Coronation of Napoleon and Gericault's haunting Raft of the Medusa. Your guide also brings the symbolism of Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People to life with stories of the 1830 Revolution.
Your tour wraps up in the Michelangelo Gallery in the Denon Wing, where Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss closes things out. With only six guests, you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and connect with your guide along the way.
This tour is perfect for art lovers and first-time visitors who want to see the Louvre's must-sees without the overwhelm.
