Description

Kumamoto Castle has been a key historical site in Japan for over 400 years. Visitors will learn about its role in history and famous personalities connected to it, including Kato Kiyomasa, the Hosokawa clan, Miyamoto Musashi, and Tani Kanjo.

The Kumamoto Castle Museum Wakuwakuza offers a hands-on, interactive experience where you can see, hear, and touch artifacts that bring history to life. The museum’s theme, “Connecting Kumamoto’s Memories to the Future,” presents a wide collection of historical and natural materials, including important cultural properties.

The museum features a special exhibition room with rotating displays, a craft and experiment area, and a planetarium, adding depth to your visit.
