Description

The Vallée Blanche is, above all, a magical setting in the heart of the snow-covered peaks of Chamonix! It's an exceptional off-piste ski descent of over 16 km in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif. So if you're a good skier and comfortable on all types of snow or terrain, go for it! ⛷️What level do you need to do the Vallée Blanche? Snow conditions can vary from day to day, so you need to be comfortable on all terrains (powder, bumps, crusted snow, live ice, etc.). You must master the basics, namely: controlling your speed and trajectory, following a defined route, making turns at moderate speed and tight turns at low speed, mastering the snowplow, and knowing how to make controlled skids. All this on off-piste terrain and in the high mountains, which means there are some specifics to know. You'll be skiing on a glacier: a third of the route is above 3,000 m altitude, with sometimes steep slopes and some sections equivalent to difficult black runs. You'll descend the Aiguille du Midi ridge equipped with crampons. You must be able to control your fear, not be afraid of heights, knowing that our guides are there to accompany you safely.
