Description
Your day starts with a hotel pickup by a licensed guide in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. You will then take a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Nagarkot Viewpoint (2,175m), where you will enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mt Everest, Gauri Shanker, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. A short break at a local tea hut allows you to relax with tea or coffee in the fresh mountain air.
Next, a 10-minute drive takes you to the starting point of a 3-hour hike to Changu Narayan. The trail is a mix of flat and gentle uphill sections, followed by a downhill walk. Along the way, you will observe authentic rural life, including seasonal farms, goat grazing, and traditional alcohol-making spots. The route also includes a visit to a peaceful Hindu temple.
Upon arrival at the historic village of Changu, enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, explore the Changu Narayan Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient Nepalese stone and wood carvings and historic religious icons. Your private vehicle will then return you safely to your hotel, completing the day.
