Le Refuge Payot
Chamonix
Le Refuge Payot is a long-standing purveyor traditional Savoyard fayre, with meets, cheeses, wines, conserves and sweets to tempt us all.
With three shops in the Chamonix Valley, you're never far from the enticing smell of cheeses such as Tomme and Reblochon.
The largest shop is opposite the Super U supermarket in the centre of Chamonix, there is also a second shop on the pedestrianised street rue du Dr Paccard. Over in Les Houches, Le Refuge Payot can be found opposite the Bellevue cable car lift.
If you're keen to have a go at making a Savoyard fondue, le Refuge Payot is the place to go, as they can advise you on the types and amount of cheese you need.
