The sea bass is perfect – but the real star is the sauce it’s served with. It completely transforms the dish. And the side deserves its own praise: perfectly cooked potatoes and sweet peas are incredible. The best fish plate we’ve ever had. The rest was solid too – Korean chicken wings, watermelon-feta-cucumber salad, tomato-burrata salad. Cocktails were the only weak spot. Big thanks to our waiter Antonie: energetic, fast, and he didn’t forget a single thing.
As Mt. Blanc’s hues flowed from pink to purple to blue, this hidden gem of a restaurant truly reflected the sunset’s comforting warmth. I visited twice during a three-day visit and can safely say it was hard to go wrong with the seasonally based menu. Absolute must-tries included the prawns with black beans, deliciously unique; the breast of chicken, cooked to perfection; and the seabass in a delectable crayfish sauce. The staff were genuine and somehow managed to make every customer feel welcome in this homely and unpretentious eatery. I’m pretty sure I heard one waiter easily converse with tables in at least three different languages over my two nights there, too. If you and yours want to expand your Cham horizons beyond the standard trip, Synge and Co’s offerings, from the service to the food to the truly picturesque setting, are not to be missed.
This might be the best food we had the entire time we were on the Tour du Mont Blanc. Synge & Co. truly saved our taste buds with some filling, flavorful, and reasonably priced dishes. I had the Korean wings and the Beef and Guinness pie paired with mashed potatoes, both were absolutely delicious (highly recommend the wings). The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was just okay.
A hidden gem in Chamonix. From the outside the place looks more like a pub, but look closer and you will find a lovely high quality menu that suits all tastes and appetites. Simple, unpretentious and enjoyable food that had me dining three times during my six nights stay in Chamonix. Antoine was exceptional with his friendly down to earth service and made me feel genuinely welcome to be there. Over the three nights, I ate the tomato soup, fish, chicken, calamari and mussel dishes. Thanks to Paul the chef for the opportunity to try the chocolate brownie- yum yum 😋 A great place to relax, eat good quality food and relax 😎
Amazing food and absolutely worth it. Like most good places in Chamonix, you’ll need a reservation — it gets busy for a reason. We ordered starters and steak for dinner, and everything was excellent. The quality, flavor, and presentation did not disappoint. The restaurant was full, and we noticed that guests who came earlier seemed to wait longer for their meals. Our 8pm reservation turned out to be the perfect time — the service felt smooth and we avoided the earlier kitchen rush. Would definitely come back!
