Courmayeur

Courmayeur Webcams

Courmayeur lies on the other side of the Mont Blanc tunnel lies , where you can ski the Italian side of Mont Blanc which is as impressive as the French side. In this small, friendly old village, which has a large international community like Chamonix, you will find some true Italian charm. There are plenty of good shops and restaurants around and the nightlife has something to offer to everyone.

The same goes for the ski area of Courmayeur. There are lots of easy runs, as well as high mountain and black runs. There is also great off-piste like the famous Cresta d'Arp run,and you can access the even more famous Vallee Blanche run from here with Point Helbronner as the starting point, taking the lift up from Entreves, the first village after the exit of the Mont Blanc Tunnel.

For skiing Courmayeur, you can head up from Val Veny, Dolonne bubble lift or the old cable car from the centre of Courmayeur town. Once up on the slopes the pistes are centred around Plan Checrouit and around Val Veny.

If you have a Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass the Courmayeur ski area is included, make sure you pass at the ticket desk to validate your lift pass before you head throught the turnstiles.

OUR VIEW: It oftens snows in Courmayeur and not in Chamonix, so it's well worth checking our webcams before you go. We love Courmayeur for the relaxed atmosphere and the superb restaurants - they are everywhere and excellent value too. It's only half an hour from Chamonix and can add a taste of Italy to your French ski holiday!
