Alpine Museum

The Alpine Museum shows you the development of Chamonix from the 18th century.

Discover how the valley has changed since the first tourists came and what influence the rise of winter sports had.

There is a big collection of prints, photographs, relief maps, ancient object etc.

The Alpine museum currently shows the exhibition: Marguette Bouvier, histoire d'une vie from 05/07/2009 till 19/10/2008.

Opening hours: every day between 2pm and 7pm. During school holidays also open between 10am and midday. Guided tours every wednesday at 2.30pm

Prices: adult: 5,20 euros, carte d'hote, residents, saisonnairs and seniors: 4,00 euros, kids (younger than 12): free.
