Ski Pass Information and Prices

Ski passes are for sale at the Compagnie du Mont Blanc cash desks at the Montenvers-Mer de Glace train station and at the bottom of all the slopes. Or buy your ski pass online from the Compagnie du Mont Blanc. There are two different passes for sale: the 'Chamonix-Le Pass' and the 'Mont Blanc Unlimited' pass. There is a special rate for the Savoy (baby) slope at the bottom of Brévent and for La Vormaine drag lift area in Le Tour.

It is recommended to buy the Carré Neige Ski insurance for 2,70 (adults) and 2,30 (children) a day. You can buy it directly at the cash desk when you buy your ski pass. 

When you buy your lift pass you will need to pay 3€ for the 'hands free' credit card style pass. This card is re-chargeable, but no longer reimbursed. You only need a photo for passes of 10 days or more.

Chamonix Le Pass

With the Le Pass you have access to Brévent-Flégère, Le Tour, Les Grands Montets (2765 m) and all the beginners slopes. A seasonal or annual Le Pass also entitles you to 3 days of free access to any ski area in the Haute Savoie region. You also get a 50% reduction on the Montenvers – Mer de glace train for as long as your pass is valid. On top of this all, Le Pass entitles you to free access to inter-station shuttle buses between Chamonix, Argentière and Le Tour, but nor between Les Houches and Chamonix.

Mont Blanc Unlimited

With the Unlimited pass you have all the benefits of the Le Pass, as well as access to the top of Les Grands Montets (3300m), Les Houches ski area*, the Aiguille du Midi cable-car and Mont-Blanc Panoramic (Helbronner), the Montenvers-Mer de Glace train and the Tramway du Mont-Blanc. On top of this, you can also access the ski areas of Courmayeur & Funivie Monte Bianco* in Italy for free, and get a discount on the Mont-Blanc Tunnel*. A free shuttle service to Courmayeur is also available with your unlimited ski pass. When you buy an Unlimited pass for more than 6 days, you also get free and unlimited access to Verbier-4 vallées ski area in Switzerland. To top it all off you get a 20% discount on Pré Saint-Didier thermal baths and discount of 2 CHF on Gianadda Foundation museum in Martigny, Switzerland. You can use the shuttle buses from Les Houches right through to Le Tour for free too.

Ski Pass prices Winter 2011/2012

Chamonix will be open from 3 December 2011 - 6 May 2012 (subject to snow conditions) and the standard prices listed below are valid from the 24 December 2011 to 13 April 2012. Outside of this period, Compagnie du Mont Blanc will be offering reduced priced early and late season ski lift passes.

PLEASE NOTE : season and annual lift pass discounts are not yet know for the 2011/2012 season. As soon as they are published we will update this section.

When you buy a ski pass for the winter season or all year round, you can profit from some great discounts when you buy before the 29th of November 2010. The Unlimited pass is 40% cheaper, and the Le Pass 35%. There are also discounts for couples and individuals with a resident secondaire card or a gens du pays card. There are also discounts available for people with a seasonal French contract (the Work and Ride pass) and French students. Please contact Compagnie du Mont Blanc for terms and conditions.
