  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking. Bring a hat and sunscreen to protect against the sun. Swimming in the cenote is optional, so bring swimwear if you plan to swim. Water is essential to stay hydrated during the tour. Respect the natural and historical sites by not littering or touching the plants. The Chichen Itza tax is 42 USD per adult, and must be paid on the day of the tour or the day before (only credit card payments are accepted). Not for the people who have booked the Deluxe option. Mexicans, children, students, and teachers (residents in Mexico) have a discount on the Chichen Itza tax upon presentation of their ID on the day of the tour. The discount will not be applicable without the official identification. The Deluxe option has all the additional fees included in the price.
