Diving Cenotes The Pit and Dos Ojos in a same day is and amazing decision for a diving day, you will dive in two of the best cenotes around. Known by the Mayas to be the entrance door of Xibalba (the death world), these two cenotes are located inside the world’s biggest underground river system; Sac Actun – Dos Ojos System, an underground river system recently found to connect and run for a total of 215 miles. There are over 5000 cenotes listed to this day and another 5000 estimated to still be explored. Here are all the details of the Cenote The Pit and Dos Ojos Diving; What to expect: 2 shallow dives, 40 minutes each. Incredible light effects. Lots of stalagmites, stalactites and calcareous formation. Pop-up in a dome, which is home to a huge biodiversity of bat species.
