Upon arrival, explore the historic center at your own pace or with suggested highlights. Begin at the iconic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, the town’s most photographed landmark. Visit artisan shops and galleries in Fabrica La Aurora or admire the colorful murals and cafés in the Guadalupe neighborhood. If you’d like, stop for lunch at a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the town. Optional detours include a visit to a vineyard, a nearby hot spring (e.g., La Gruta), or additional towns like Atotonilco (home to a historic church called the “Sistine Chapel of Mexico”).
