Description

The ascent to Chaz Dura takes about 2.5 hours, with a 1,200-meter elevation gain, following wide alpine roads and double tracks. Once at the top (2,600 meters), be rewarded with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, and the surrounding Alps. From there, begin a long and thrilling descent toward the Little St. Bernard Pass, riding through open landscapes and smooth trails. At the pass, stop to visit the beautiful Lake Verney. Here, enjoy a packed lunch by the water or choose to eat at one of the nearby mountain huts serving delicious local cuisine. The final stretch takes you back down to La Thuile via a scenic single track or optional gravel roads, depending on your preference and skill level.
