From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps, making it a must-see attraction for any nature lover. Remember to bring warm clothes, sun cream and a camera. Montenvers - Mer de Glace ‘Sea of Ice’ is a stunning glacier located in the heart of the French Alps. It’s accessible by a charming 20 minute cogwheel train that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Once you arrive, you can explore France’s largest glacier (7 km long, 200m thick) on foot and discover its unique beauty. Visitors can also descend into the Ice caves that are sculpted into the glacier. Chamonix town Chamonix is a charming destination with plenty to offer.
