Description

We will begin our walking tour from the main square of Arequipa, continuing with a visit to the Church of the Society of Jesus and the cloisters, where we will observe the impressive Baroque architecture that characterizes each space. Next, we will head to San Francisco Square, one of the most charming places in the city, where the colonial architecture and the daily rhythm of the neighborhood stand out. Our next stop will be the traditional neighborhood of San Lázaro, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Arequipa, dating back to before the city's founding. Strolling through its narrow streets will transport you back in time. A few minutes further on, we will arrive at the Mundo Alpaca mini-zoo, where we will meet one of the main South American camelids, the llama and the alpaca. We will also observe how their fiber is spun and have the opportunity to buy some garments made from this fiber. Finally, we will head to the enigmatic Santa Catalina Convent, one of the city's most important attractions. This is an unmissable tour that will transport us back to the origins of Arequipa's founding.
