Day 1: Departure from Buenos Aires and Arrival to Montevideo Get ready for an incredible adventure! Your journey to Montevideo begins early in the morning (around 6 AM), when your driver picks you up from your hotel or Airbnb and takes you to the Buenos Aires ferry station. After going through customs (note that passports are required), you’ll board the ferry for a comfortable 2-hour ride across the Río de la Plata, which separates Argentina from Uruguay. Soak up the sights as you cross the widest river in the world and enjoy panoramic views of Montevideo and the Uruguayan coast as you approach. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your local guide and embark on a tour of the city’s highlights. In just four fun-filled hours, you’ll experience Montevideo’s unique atmosphere, where Latin American and European influences blend seamlessly. Admire the impressive colonial architecture of the Old District and Independence Square, marvel at the intricate design of Uruguay’s tallest building, drive along the promenade with fantastic views of sandy beaches and stop at an agricultural market to discover traditional Uruguayan products. After the tour, and with a deeper understanding of the city, we’ll take you to your accommodation for the night. Overnight in Montevideo. Day 2: Free time and return to Buenos Aires After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, enjoy the morning at your own pace. Take a stroll along the Rambla, explore a local neighborhood, or simply relax and soak up the city’s atmosphere. At the agreed time in the afternoon, your driver will take you to the ferry terminal for your return journey. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, another driver will be waiting to transfer you comfortably back to your hotel. Important information for travelers • Ferry tickets are in economy class. Direct tickets are subject to availability; if sold out, ferry tickets will be to/from Colonia del Sacramento, with a bus transfer to/from Montevideo • A current valid passport is required on the day of travel • Children must be accompanied by an adult • At the time of booking the following information is needed to purchase the ferry tickets: full names, date of birth, passport numbers and nationalities. • Refunds will not be issued if the tour is missed due to late or non arrival of your cruise ship • Please bear in mind that beginning and ending time may vary between according to ferry availability.
