Refuge Elisabetta
Chamonix
The Refuge Elisabetta was built in 1953 as homage to Elisabetta Soldini Montanaro, an intrepid explorer from the valley who fell on the Mont de Saxe. The refuge was extended in 1983 and renovated in 2001. There are beds for 80 people in the summer with good food being served. There is also an unstaffed cabin in winter for serious alpinists only.
