The Refuge du Col de la Croix du Bonhomme is a large refuge sleeping 109 with excellent facilities considering you're at 2443m above sea level. This is one of the classic choices for walkers on the Tour Mont Blanc route. The refuge is run by the Club Alpin Francais and is open with a guardien in summer, whilst in winter there is a 25 bed cabin open for alpinists.
